Footloose Fun Cards

Tonight we had our monthly Kraftin' Klass.  Julie & JoAnn got to make these beautiful cards.  Take a look.  The one on the left is a gel card.  You put hair gel into a small plastic jewelry bag and tape it between the first layer and second layer.  The fish is actually stamped on the second layer giving the card the look and feel of water.  Kids love them.  The card on the right is made by tearing the water-looking paper to make it look like waves and sanding down & distressing the sand-looking paper to make it look like the beach.  We used the Dotty paper to make the flip flops.

Buckets of Fun

I'm working on being the bestest aunt ever for our Family Vacation.  Check these out.  I used the Cricut to cut out their first initial from Duck Tape Sheets.  I've added individual Nutella, snack size microwaveable popcorn, gummy fish, and water balloons. I've got stuff to tie dye white towels to design their own beach towels.  And I've got a scavenger hunt (the things they find they can use to make a craft).  I've also created a Vacation Bucket List for a Check-off.

Wilton Bags with a little scrapbooking paper to make Goldfish Tanks.
Nutter Butters + a tube of icing to create Flip Flops.
Plastic Cups with Individual Sharkies (Gummy Sharks)
with a picture of the project attached + Blueberry Jello
makes Shark Aquariums.
I found these wind-up sea animals at the $1 store.
 (Mini Journals - 3 come in a pack for a $1 -
I just dressed them up with scrapbooking paper, stamps, and Duck Tape.)

Piercing Tool Kit (Z1114)

Open Colonial White Base Card so you are only cutting the front of the card, place the Garden Green Cardstock underneath (line the edges), lightly trace the rectangle onto the Colonial White. Use a ruler to draw a light line to each of the corners. Place on a mat or cardboard. Use an Exacto knife to cut the crossed line. Erase your light pencil marks. Fold the flaps. (Do not glue anything.) Place the Floral Paper Frame on top. Fold the flaps over. Use the brads to pin down the flaps. Only pin the 2 flaps, the floral, and the card base. Do not pin the Garden Green Cardstock. I used the piercing tool to poke a hole for the brads. Glue the floral and Garden Green Cardstock Corners to the base. Stamp the small Vanilla Cream Cardstock and then layer. Glue to the center of the inside of the card

Great Night

Friends, Food, and Scrapbookin'!!!  What else can you ask for?  I spent the evening with JoAnn, Julie, Lisa, and Shelley.  We made the Sonoma Workshop on the Go.  I also through in a little surprise.  Each lady got to make one of these beautiful necklace pendants (origianal idea found at http://brenyule.blogspot.com/2011/10/vintage-necklace-using-close-to-my.html).  Just a little something to let the ladies know I'm blessed to have them in my life.

I made sugar free Pineapple Upside-Down Individual Cakes.  The recipe can be found at http://curiousjogeorge-kaylaskitchen.blogspot.com/2012/01/sugar-free-pineapple-upside-down.html.
